What should I expect on Sunday?

What Should I Expect On Sunday:

At Greenford Christian Church, we want to help you feel at home as soon as you pull into our parking lot or log onto our website. We are group of imperfect people trying our best to be more and more like Jesus everyday. Below are some answers to the questions you’re probably asking…

What time does it start?

We have a traditional service at 7:30 a.m. with traditional hymns.

We also have 2 identical contemporary worship services to choose from. They start at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. A variety of adult & children’s classes meet at the same times.

Which building should I go in?

Nursery (birth – 2 years old): Building C

First Years (2 years – Kindergarten) Building C

Elementary (1st – 4th grade): Building C

Middle School (5th – 8th grade): Building B

High School (9th – 12th grade): Building B

Worship Service: Building D

Does it matter what I wear?

Not at all. We want you to come as you feel comfortable. There are people of all styles and ages at Greenford Christian Church who just enjoy being together.

What should I expect when I get there?

Greenford Christian Church has a warm, casual atmosphere. Come early enough to grab a cup of coffee or to get your kids settled in the children’s ministry area. Don’t hesitate to ask for help at the Guest Services Center located in the lobby of Building D. Our volunteers are there every Sunday to help you with any questions you may have.

What will the worship service be like?

The seats are comfortable and the lights are often down low. The music is upbeat and led by a band. Each week is uniquely designed around a theme, and you can expect similar creative elements like music, prayer, video images, drama, and object lessons… we like to keep it fresh. The teaching is always Bible-based, relevant, and encouraging.

Anything I should prepare for?

We offer a special time in every worship service known as communion. Any and every follower of Jesus is invited to participate in that each week. If you do not care to participate, you can simply observe.

Will I be asked to give money?

We take up a weekly offering because it honors God and sustains Greenford Christian Church’s ministries. There is never any pressure for guest to give. God has always provided for Greenford Christian Church through the generosity of grateful people.

The easiest way is to email your questions to or call the church office (330) 533-3278 to speak with one of the ministers. There is also a lot more information on this website, so have a look around and make yourself at home!

What happens with my kids?

Greenford Christian Church offers a place for children of all ages to learn about Jesus and grow in community with each other during the adult worship services as listed below.

Birth – Elementary – 9:00 & 10:30am

Middle School – 10:30am

High School – 10:30am

Young Adults – 9:00am

Parents are always welcome to have their children with them in worship, but most kids can’t wait to worship and learn in their own age-appropriate ways.

The entire building C is dedicated to children’s ministry age birth through elementary and building B is dedicated to middle school age and older. We have a detailed security policy to screen every volunteer and utilize a computerized check-in program to ensure the protection of every child. We also promise to love your children the way Jesus would.
